A Wild, Wonderful Night to Remember
We’re still buzzing, and honestly, what a night.
Going in, our focus was simply on being together and celebrating the fantastic season we had, both in our achievements and in the sheer abundance of amazing experiences and encounters we had with the whales this year.
To win an award and receive recognition at this level was the absolute cherry on top, and we feel an enormous sense of achievement. But also, a very gratifying sense of it being the perfect end to 2025 as many of our team venture off to various other wildlife endeavours for the off-season.
The Tourism Star Awards
Just when we thought the formalities were done and the night was winding down, the Tourism Star Awards were announced, and they read out our name!
It was an honour to stand and accept this award on behalf of our whole team in a room full of exceptional operators, and to have the chance to acknowledge all our hard work and achievements.
Receiving the Tourism Star was the perfect way to close out both the night and a massive season for us.
The Meaning Behind the Award
What made the award meaningful wasn’t just the win itself, it was what it recognised:
Passion, commitment, innovation, resilience, and the heart we pour into creating exceptional experiences.
As the NSW Tourism Association explained in their introduction speech, this award is given to businesses and individuals who genuinely lift the industry through dedication and impact. And for us, that’s exactly what this past year has been about.
The judges even mentioned they could clearly see the passion in our business. Add to that the more than 500 five-star reviews we’ve received, and it felt like a real acknowledgment of everything our team has built. The Tourism Star showed that the heart and promise of our work truly stand out.
A Year of Growth and Gratitude
And it has been a huge year. We’ve introduced new initiatives, expanded our operations and welcomed over 11,000 passengers this season.
We are so grateful to our crew, those who were there on the night and those who couldn’t attend, for everything they contributed. And we are thankful to every guest who has joined us this season and shared their feedback. Your support helps drive us forward, and it plays a massive part in achievements like this.
