The Common Dolphin boasts a bold and eye-catching appearance, with an arrangement of light and dark patches along its sides, forming a shape that narrows in the middle and flares out at the top and bottom, much like an hourglass. This pattern is typically highlighted by a contrast of colours, making it stand out visually. In the Common Dolphin’s case, the light-coloured patches of white/yellow, buff, and grey create this shape against the darker back and white belly, resulting in a visually stunning design.
